Jun 3, 2014 (Tue): Online shopping in Singapore is now even simpler with the recent launch of MasterPass by MasterCard. In addition to Singapore, MasterCard has rolled out the digital wallet in the US, UK, Canda, Australia, New Zealand, Italy and China. Singapore is the first in Southeast Asia to experience the new simpler payment checkout by MasterCard.
DBS Bank, Maybank and OCBC Bank are participating in the program while CIMB Bank in Singapore will also roll out MasterPass to the public soon. MasterPass is currently accepted at online merchants in Singapore, including Luxola, Shaw Theatres, Singapore Airlines, Singapore Airlines KrisShop Online, SISTIC and Zuji. Payment technology providers like AsiaPay, eNETS, MC Payment, Red Dot Payment and WireCard are partnering with MasterCard to help their merchants to enable MasterPass.
