Sina Corp Teams Up with Alipay to Launch Weibo Payment

Jan 8, 2014 (Wed): Sina Corp’s Weibo has formed up partnership with China’s leading online payment provider Alipay, launched Weibo Payment on Tuesday, Alizila reports. The new Weibo’s online payment product is designed to allow users to connect their Alipay account with their Weibo accounts and buy online without having to log in Alipay account. After purchase made, the users can share their views on the product with their Weibo fans.

According to TechNode, Weibo Payment is already available with the 4.2 version of Sina Weibo app released on Monday. The new online payment product also can support payments at offline businesses through QR Code.
