Dec 15, 2013 (Sun): The founder and CEO of Shopify, Tobias Lutke has announced that Shopify has raised US$100 million in Series C funding from OMERS Ventures and Insight Venture Partners to further expand ecommerce. According to Tobias, Shopify has over 300 employees and powers over 80,000 online stores in 100 different countries. He forecasts that Shopify merchants will have sold well over US$1.5 billion in products this year.
