Shopify Introduces new function Gift Cards

Nov 18, 2013 (Mon): Shopify has announced that gift cards are now available on Shopify for all Professional and Unlimited plan users. The gift cards provide a flexible and easy way for online shoppers to purchase a gift for someone online. Shopify expects this new functionality will help sellers to increase their sales and make their store look more professional.

According to a National Retail Federation survey, 81 per cent of Americans will buy at least one gift card during the holidays. The same survey also found that 70 per cent of customers who use gift cards will spend more than the value on the card.
