Rakuten, Inc., Japan’s leading e-commerce company launched its online shopping mall for Malaysian (Rakuten Malaysia) yesterday, as reported in BERNAMA.
As reported by VSDaily in June this year, Rakuten Malaysia, a localized virtual mall and populated with multiple stores by mid to large-sized retailers, to provide Malaysian consumers with a new, interactive and entertaining online shopping experience on more than 11,000 products, including consumer electronics, computers and information technology, healthcare, fashion apparels, jewellery and accessories.
The Rakuten Malaysia President and CEO, Masaya Ueno said that they aim to build an ecosystem in Malaysia that is similar in Japan where they offer over 40 different Internet services, in additional to e-commerce, all connected by Rakuten Super Points.
