April 10, 2014 (Thu): Rakuten Card has partnered with First Bankcard to launch the Rakuten Rewards MasterCard as part of a global growth strategy. The card will entitle cardholders with reward points redeemable for Rakuten Super Points when shopping on U.S. based Rakuten.com as well as elsewhere. This is the first time Rakuten has focused on incorporating Rakuten Super Points into the launch of a credit card overseas.
