Homegrown eyewear brand Pott Glasses marks its 10th anniversary with an immersive “Take A Leap of Frame” pop-up, celebrating a decade of redefining Malaysia’s eyewear landscape through fashion-forward design, optical expertise, and personalised service. The brand continues to lead with innovations tailored for Asian facial features and is now expanding into the presbyopia market.
MALAYSIA, 7 October 2025 – Malaysia’s eyewear industry is on a steady rise, with Statista projecting revenue to reach US$558.88 million by 2025, supported by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.25%. This growth is fueled by increased screen exposure, growing awareness of eye health, and a growing preference for eyewear that combines both fashion and functionality.
Amid this vibrant market, Pott Glasses has emerged as a pioneer in the personalised eyewear segment. Founded in 2015 by childhood friends Aw Tai Hau and Eden Hoong from Kelantan, the homegrown brand has reimagined the eyewear experience through a unique combination of optical precision, fashion-forward design, and tailored personalisation. From its modest beginnings at pop-up booths, Pott Glasses has expanded to nine outlets nationwide, earning a reputation for its curated eyewear collections and bespoke styling services.
A key differentiator of Pott Glasses is its commitment to creating frames specifically designed for Asian facial structures. Unlike mass-market designs that cater primarily to Western features, Pott Glasses focuses on providing comfort and a precise fit—addressing common challenges such as lower nose bridges and wider cheekbones.
“At Pott Glasses, our mission has always been to provide eyewear that goes beyond function. It’s about personalisation, style, and eye health,” said co-founder Eden Hoong. “With over 800 frame styles, we ensure every customer can find something that reflects their individuality.”
The brand’s innovative 4D Eyewear Styling Experience integrates face shape analysis, lifestyle habits, and fashion preferences to help customers find their perfect frame. Its team of optical stylists—trained in both vision science and fashion trends—delivers an experience that blends practicality with personality.
In 2025, Pott Glasses’ creative influence extended into Malaysia’s fashion scene at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week, where it collaborated with local high-fashion label BEHATI. Together, they unveiled titanium sunglasses inspired by Malay and Peranakan antique jewellery, complete with intricate motifs and twin Keris blade details. The collaboration highlighted the brand’s fusion of cultural heritage and modern style.
To mark its 10th anniversary, Pott Glasses is hosting an experiential event titled “Take A Leap of Frame” from September 26 to October 5, 2025, at The Five @ KPD, Kuala Lumpur. The pop-up will feature a series of immersive attractions, including:
- “Find Your Pott Type” Quiz – an interactive experience to discover one’s ideal eyewear style.
- “Collection ‘X’ Gallery” – showcasing the new Pott Sunnies: Collection ‘X’ through dynamic photo zones.
- “10 Years of Pott” Exhibition – a timeline display of the brand’s journey and achievements.
- Colour Analysis Station – where stylists help guests discover the shades that best suit their skin tones.
Co-founder Aw Tai Hau shared, “This pop-up is more than a celebration of our decade-long journey. It reflects how Pott Glasses has transformed from a humble startup into a leading eyewear brand. Between 2021 and 2024, we achieved a 73% CAGR, driven by our dedication to design, comfort, and customer experience.”
Looking ahead, Pott Glasses is expanding its offerings to include solutions for presbyopia, an age-related vision condition affecting individuals over 40. The upcoming Multifocal Specialist by Pott Glasses initiative will cater to this growing demographic, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to innovation and comprehensive eye care.
With its strong foundation, expanding product lines, and continued focus on personalisation, Pott Glasses stands poised to remain a driving force in Malaysia’s evolving eyewear industry.
