Tue, Jun 25, 2013: In a mobile study conducted by PayPal and Branding Brand between December 2012 and March 2013, the results conclude that simply adding a PayPal button on a product page versus only at checkout could help mobile shoppers check out faster and lead to a significant increase in sales for merchants.
Referring to the report, adding a standard mobile optimized checkout (PayPal Express Checkout) increased sales by 26 per cent and 44 per cent. If adding a PayPal checkout button on the product page, the result shows another 10% sales lift on top of a standard integration.
According to PayPal, PayPal enabled US$14 billion (RM45.1 billion) worth of mobile payment volume in 2012 and they expect the volume will exceed US$20 billion (RM64.4 billion) this year.
