Palo Alto Networks has launched Prisma Access Browser 2.0, the world’s first SASE-native secure browser, to protect GenAI usage, enhance web security, and improve user experience. This update, part of broader Prisma SASE enhancements, includes advanced DLP, expanded OCI support, and a unified SASE agent.
MALAYSIA, 30 APRIL 2025 – Palo Alto Networks®, the global cybersecurity leader, has introduced major advancements in its Prisma® SASE platform, including the launch of Prisma Access Browser 2.0 — the industry’s first secure browser natively integrated into a SASE architecture. This innovation comes alongside enhanced Endpoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP), broader global presence through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and several new features aimed at securing GenAI usage, improving digital user experience, and strengthening enterprise resilience.
Today, 85% of work is conducted through browsers, making them one of the most critical vectors for data exposure and cyberattacks. According to Palo Alto Networks’ 2025 Unit 42 Incident Report, nearly half of all security incidents involved browsers, often through threats like phishing, URL redirection abuse, and malicious downloads. Recognizing this shift, Prisma Access Browser 2.0 is designed to bring real-time security and policy control directly to the browser, eliminating the need for legacy infrastructure like VDI and enhancing security in remote and hybrid work environments.

Prisma Access Browser 2.0 introduces powerful features including real-time visibility and access control over Generative AI (GenAI) usage, protection against sophisticated browser-based attacks such as AI-generated cloaking and SaaS-hosted phishing, and a unified user interface that seamlessly integrates both modern web applications and legacy systems. It leverages LLM-powered context-based classification to prevent sensitive data leaks and uses Precision AI® to detect evasive threats that traditional tools may miss.

The latest enhancements to the broader Prisma SASE offering include improved endpoint DLP capabilities that strengthen data classification and shadow data discovery while helping mitigate insider threats. Application acceleration has been extended to branch offices via Prisma SD-WAN, enhancing user-to-app performance. A unified next-generation SASE agent simplifies deployment and endpoint management for IT teams.
Additionally, Palo Alto Networks has expanded its cloud reach by partnering with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This integration ensures operational resiliency, global scalability, and increased uptime for customers using Prisma SASE across diverse geographies.
These advancements reflect Palo Alto Networks’ commitment to redefining security for a distributed, AI-first workforce. By combining secure connectivity, intelligent threat detection, and user-friendly experience under a single architecture, Prisma SASE offers enterprises a powerful way to secure productivity without compromise.
All newly announced features will be generally available in Q4 of FY25. Registration is now open for InterSECt 2025, a premier event showcasing the future of AI and cybersecurity, taking place June 24–26.
