Palo Alto Networks Launches Precision AI to Outpace AI-Generated Threats

Palo Alto Networks has introduced new AI-driven security solutions using Precision AI™ to combat AI-generated threats and secure AI ecosystems, emphasizing the need for a connected platform approach to enhance enterprise security. The new solutions will be available in Q4 FY24 and Q1 FY25.

11 July 2024 – Palo Alto Networks has launched a suite of cutting-edge security solutions designed to combat AI-generated threats and bolster AI security by design. The company’s new offering leverages Precision AI™, a proprietary innovation that combines machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) with generative AI (GenAI) for real-time protection. This AI-powered security aims to outpace cyber adversaries and proactively safeguard networks and infrastructure.

Nikesh Arora, chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks, emphasized the necessity for enterprises to adopt a connected platform approach. “Enterprises must transition beyond disparate processes and solutions to realize the benefits of a connected platform that is more than just a tech stack—it is a critical business mechanism and an undeniable driver of success. Precision AI by Palo Alto Networks is a game changer, creating a new paradigm in security where defenders can stay ahead of adversaries,” Arora stated.

Palo Alto Networks has integrated Precision AI across its platforms—Strata™, Prisma®, and Cortex®—to address key enterprise use cases:

  • Counter AI with AI: Utilizing AI-powered security to mitigate risks associated with malicious AI use. The Precision AI Security Bundle includes Advanced Security Services such as Advanced URL Filtering, Advanced Threat Prevention, Advanced WildFire®, and Advanced DNS Security, all of which use inline AI to thwart sophisticated threats.
  • Secure AI by Design: Establishing a secure AI ecosystem that enhances compliance and reduces data exposure from development to deployment. Features include AI Access Security for full visibility and robust controls, Prisma Cloud AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM) for identifying vulnerabilities, and AI Runtime Security to protect against runtime threats.
  • Simplify Security with AI: Employing AI-powered copilots across Palo Alto Networks’ platforms to deliver autonomous security that is context-driven, actionable, proactive, and supportive.

Palo Alto Networks’ Precision AI aims to future-proof business operations by addressing the evolving threat landscape. With the AI cybersecurity market projected to reach $102.78 billion by 2032, the company underscores the importance of platformization and AI integration in achieving operational efficiency and enhanced security. Palo Alto Networks’ customers have already recognized significant benefits from this unified approach across network, cloud, and SOC environments.

The new solutions powered by Precision AI will be available starting in Q4 FY24 and Q1 FY25.
