Thu, Jun 13, 2013: Datuk Nelson Kwok, the president of Malaysian Retailers Chain Association (MRCA), during MRCA CEO Night 2013 advised MRCA members do not need to rush into setting up online shopping site even e-commerce seem growing in the country, the Business Times reported.
According to Kwok, the physical presence is still very important to the consumers as they still want to have a look and feel of the products. He urged the members should slowly move into the online space as they are handling brands which are known to the public, not like most of the shopping sites with new or unknown brand. Kwok added that the online shopping cannot be ignored and thus MRCA is now organising courses for its members to share more ideas in selling their goods and services online.
