Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Syed Ismail Syed Azizan said the police recorded the cyber-crimes have caused losses of RM21.8 million from January to September this year. Most of the losses were happen through online purchases (RM14.5 million), followed by SMS or phone call (RM3.4 million), hacking (RM3.3 million) and Internet banking and phone banking (RM590,000), Bernama reported.
