Monitise Ties Up with IBM to Enhance Visa Mobile Services in Europe

Sept 10, 2013 (Tue): The Mobile Money provider Monitise has signed a strategic partnership agreement with IBM to boost Visa Europe’s ability to provide its member banks with new mobile banking, payment and commerce services in the cloud for its customers.

Under the multi-year collaboration, IBM will combine its scale, customer insights and market-leading position in both banking and retail with Monitise’s proven capability in bringing innovation and co-operation to the areas of mobile banking, payments and commerce for Visa Europe. This can help Visa Europe to accelerate the deployment of a broad range of mobile services on all types of devices including enable consumers to more easily manage their money, make transactions and connect with relevant retailers from their mobile device.
