Mobile payment Square expands its footprint in Japan

Tue, May 28, 2013: US-based mobile payment company Square has announced its services including Square Reader and Square Register now are available in Japan with the support and partnership of Sumitomo Mitsui Card Corporation (SMCC).

With low transaction rate of 3.25%, businesses in Japan now can accept credit card payments from their mobile device and receive the funds on the next business day for participating banks in the program.
