MALAYSIA, 31 OCTOBER 2025 – MediaTek has unveiled its latest innovation, the Kompanio 540, a cutting-edge processor designed to power the next generation of Chromebooks for modern learners. The new chip delivers exceptional power efficiency and performance, enabling students to learn, create, and thrive in today’s digital-first world.
According to MediaTek, the Kompanio 540 combines advanced technology with energy-saving features to enhance the Chromebook experience. Powered by an octa-core processor with two Arm Cortex-A78 CPUs, dual-core graphics, and support for premium LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage, it ensures smooth multitasking and responsiveness across multiple applications.

Its advanced design allows for fanless, quiet operation, making it ideal for classroom environments.
With up to 35% longer battery life compared to competitors, Kompanio 540-powered Chromebooks promise all-day productivity, cool operation, and true portability. These devices are expected to hit the market starting January 2026.
