MediaTek has introduced the Dimensity 9500, its most advanced mobile platform yet, promising breakthroughs in on-device AI, console-class gaming, and power efficiency. Flagship smartphones powered by the new chipset are set to debut in Q4 2025.
MALAYSIA, 23 SEPTEMBER 2025 – MediaTek, the world’s largest supplier of smartphone SoCs, has officially launched the Dimensity 9500, its most advanced mobile platform designed to redefine the next generation of flagship 5G smartphones.
Engineered with a third-generation All Big Core CPU, the Dimensity 9500 features a 4.21GHz ultra core, three premium cores, and four performance cores paired with four-lane UFS 4.1 storage. This configuration delivers up to 29% higher single-core and 16% higher multi-core performance compared to its predecessor, while reducing peak power consumption by up to 55%.
AI takes center stage with the ninth-generation MediaTek NPU 990 and Generative AI Engine 2.0, offering double compute power and BitNet 1-bit large model processing for up to 25% lower power usage. Users can expect 100% faster large language model output, 128K token long text processing, and the industry’s first 4K ultra-high-resolution image generation.
For gamers, the integrated Arm G1-Ultra GPU provides a 33% boost in peak performance and 42% improved efficiency, supporting 120FPS gameplay with console-level raytracing. Collaborations with leading studios bring advanced real-time rendering, MegaLights in Unreal Engine 5.6, and Nanite in Unreal Engine 5.5 for AAA-quality graphics.
Imaging capabilities are enhanced with the MediaTek Imagiq 1190, supporting RAW-domain pre-processing, up to 200MP capture, and cinematic 4K 60FPS portrait video. Meanwhile, AI-driven connectivity features enable more efficient 5G and Wi-Fi performance, with up to 20% power savings and improved network accuracy.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 represents the company’s latest milestone in innovation, combining high performance, energy efficiency, and cutting-edge AI for a smarter, more immersive user experience. Devices powered by the Dimensity 9500 are expected to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2025.
