This end-to-end digital payment service aims to address common challenges such as cumbersome user experiences, limited card payment options, and security concerns. By combining Mastercard’s advanced technology with its payment expertise, Bill Qkr enables seamless card-based bill payments and boosts consumer trust.
With 89% of people already using or planning to use digital tools for paying bills—from utilities to insurance—Bill Qkr addresses the existing gaps in the market by offering a secure and efficient payment solution. It offers recurring payment capabilities, tokenization for secure card storage, automatic invoice submissions for recurring bills, QR code-enabled payments, and guest checkout options, all designed to simplify the consumer’s journey.
Bill Qkr also enhances merchants’ peace of mind by ensuring quick, guaranteed payments and higher approval rates, while preventing declined transactions through intelligent guidance. Merchants can streamline their payment collections and improve customer satisfaction.
The service is already being adopted by several leading companies across Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. Partners like 2C2P, AXS, CardUp, Curacel, and FitBank will leverage Mastercard’s technology to expand their digital payment offerings, bringing added convenience and secure solutions to consumers. For example, 2C2P’s easyBills+ application in Thailand will integrate Mastercard’s recurring payment capabilities, and AXS in Singapore will launch automated recurring payments for billers via its mobile app.
Mastercard’s Jennifer Marriner, EVP of Global Acceptance, explained that Bill Qkr reflects the company’s commitment to transforming bill payments by integrating innovative payment solutions that offer better security, convenience, and trust. This solution is now live globally, with a focus on strengthening collaborations to enhance bill payment processes worldwide.
