Terry KS Nov 7, 2013 (Thu): RBM Redeban Multicolor (RBM), an electronic payment processing company has launched its mobile payment solution for Colombians in partnership with MasterCard. The new launch RBMovil device allows electronic payments to be accepted through an application installed on a smartphone in a secure and easy way.
According to Juan Carlos Silva, RBM Redeban Multicolor’s Sales Vice President, the new technology is focused on making the sales process easier for merchants, direct-sales companies, independent professionals, specialized sales forces, stores and all Colombians who seek payments, other than cash, that are safe and easy to use.
Colombia has approximately 1.6 million micro and small businesses, representing more than 81 per cent of the entire business segment of the country but only 18 per cent of them have a formal relationship with the financial system. MasterCard believes RBMovil will bring significan benefits and advantages to both merchants and their clients.
