The recent report from the worldwide provider of network security appliances Fortinet revealed that the older the vulnerability, the higher chance is for hackers to create and execute successful attacks against the users. This issue becomes worst when the pirated software involved because it will prevent users from installing the updates to fix the security vulnerabilities.
Fortinet urges the computer users to start applying security best practices to guard against zero-day attacks and other security threats especially when they are still using old operating systems, including Windows XP and other older operating systems.
