According to Bank Negara, Malaysia’s online scam cases in first quarter 2013 dropped 50 per cent from 1,321 cases to 714 cases, compared to the same period of 2012, reports the Star Online.
The six-month 2013 e-Banking Awareness Campaign which was started in January this year has proved its effectiveness to stop online scams such as credit card frauds and phishing.
