25 April 2024 – The Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (Mosti) has officially introduced the MYStartup Single Window, a centralized platform aimed at connecting founders, investors, talents, and government agencies within Malaysia’s startup ecosystem. Launched at the KL20 Summit, the MYStartup platform is designed to foster a vibrant startup culture by providing a wide range of resources including mentorship, funding avenues, and regulatory support, empowering entrepreneurs to thrive and succeed.
Minister Chang Lih Kang highlighted MYStartup’s role in creating a seamless business environment, offering a single platform for all startup-related activities in Malaysia. Powered by Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd, an agency under Mosti, MYStartup reflects Malaysia’s commitment to nurturing a sustainable and inclusive startup ecosystem, providing founders access to comprehensive data, insights, and networking opportunities necessary for launching and scaling their ventures.
Chang shared his personal experience as a startup founder, acknowledging the challenges faced by startups, from securing funding to marketing products. He emphasized MYStartup’s ability to streamline business processes by consolidating resources under one platform, with a unique integration of artificial intelligence for prompt and personalized assistance.
MYStartup aims to unite founders, investors, tech talents, and government agencies while offering comprehensive support for starting and scaling businesses within Malaysia’s startup ecosystem. A total of 14 government agencies are dedicated to facilitating a seamless journey for founders, investors, and tech talents, aligning with the Malaysian government’s vision of fostering a thriving startup community.
With nearly 4,000 startups in Malaysia, accounting for a total valuation of over US$5 billion, Mosti’s Malaysia Startup Ecosystem Roadmap (SUPER) 2021-2030 aims to position Malaysia among the top 20 global startup ecosystems by 2030, with 5,000 self-sustaining and successful startups by 2025. The launch of MYStartup signifies Malaysia’s progress towards becoming a global innovation hub, showcasing the government’s unwavering support for the startup community.
