The leading multichannel payment company Adyen published its payment processing statistic of last 12 months and found that over 10 per cent of the transactions processed by Adyen were carried out using mobile devices. This show the consumer spending on mobile devices is on the rise if compared with last year statistic which recorded at 3.7 per cent.
iPad remains as the most popular mobile device of carrying out mobile transactions (41%) followed by iPhone (36%), Android (21%) and Blackberry (1%), according to Adyen’s payment analysis.
The analysis revealed iPhone has highest conversion rate if compared with other devices and recorded at 56 per cent, closely followed by iPad at 49 per cent and Android at 42 per cent. Payment conversions on Blackberry are lowest at 6 per cent. The conversion rate is calculated based on the percentage of successfully completed payments as compared to the total number of payment sessions initiated.
