Lazada Indonesia recognized 15 brands, sellers, and partners at the Lazada Seller & Partner Awards 2025, reflecting the platform’s commitment to driving growth in Indonesia’s booming digital economy. The event comes as the country’s eCommerce user base is projected to surpass 99 million by 2029.
INDONESIA, 15 AUGUST 2025 – Indonesia’s eCommerce sector continues to surge, with users expected to grow 11.2% year-on-year from 65.65 million in 2024 to 73.06 million in 2025, reaching 99.1 million by 2029 (Statista, 2025). This momentum aligns with projections from the e-Conomy SEA 2024 report by Google, Temasek, and Bain & Company, which forecast the sector’s Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) to hit US$150 billion (Rp2,447 trillion) by 2030.
In response to this rapid expansion, Lazada Indonesia hosted the Lazada Seller & Partner Awards 2025 at Le Meridien Hotel, Jakarta, celebrating brands, sellers, and partners for their contributions to the platform and Indonesia’s evolving digital economy. A total of 15 brands and sellers, along with one Lazada enabler partner, were honored across four award categories, including LazMall Brand of the Year, Category Champion, Rising Star, and Lazada Partner Excellence.
Winners included leading Indonesian names such as Wardah, which secured the LazMall Brand of the Year award, and Lavio Bandung Footwear, which received the Rising Star award. Their success highlights how local brands are increasingly competitive alongside global players in Indonesia’s fast-growing market.
The event also served as a platform to reinforce Lazada’s initiatives ahead of its year-end shopping festivals, beginning with the 9.9 campaign in September. Throughout 2025, Lazada has focused on enhancing product quality fulfillment, expanding its assortment of local and international brands, and strengthening anti-counterfeit measures powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning to maintain consumer trust, particularly on LazMall.
Lazada’s hyperlocal strategy in cities such as Surabaya and Medan provides sellers with tailored support through logistics infrastructure, training, and localized promotions. These efforts aim to help sellers scale their businesses while preparing for peak shopping periods.
