Keeper Security has launched a major update to its Keeper WearOS app for Android, enhancing security, usability, and offline access. The redesigned app aligns with Google’s latest Android guidelines, offering a streamlined experience for smartwatch users with improved credential management and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) support.

SINGAPORE, 30 MARCH 2025 – Keeper Security, a global leader in zero-trust and zero-knowledge Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions, has announced significant enhancements to its Keeper WearOS app for Android. The update brings an improved user interface, better security features, and seamless offline access, making it easier for smartwatch users to manage credentials on the go.

A Modernized Experience for WearOS Users

Previously known as KeeperDNA, the Keeper WearOS app has been rebranded to unify its identity across multiple platforms. The redesigned interface ensures a smoother experience, providing users with secure access to stored credentials and 2FA codes directly from their smartwatch.

Key upgrades include:

  • Revamped UI: A sleek, modern look with a rotating carousel on the vault page for quick access to security insights.
  • Instant Credential Access: Users can retrieve stored passwords and authentication codes with a simple tap.
  • Watch Favourites: Quick access to frequently used logins, reducing dependency on mobile devices.

Offline Access for Android Users

Beyond WearOS improvements, Keeper has enhanced offline functionality for its Android app. Users can now securely access their Keeper vault without an internet connection, with adjustable offline access options of one, seven, or 30 days. Enterprise users also receive alerts if offline access is restricted by company policies.

Additional enhancements include:

  • Streamlined Account Setup: A simplified onboarding process for new users to set up accounts and import passwords effortlessly.
  • Decoupled Offline Mode & 2FA: Users can manage offline access and 2FA settings separately for greater security control.

Future Enhancements & Industry Commitment

This update is the first phase in Keeper’s broader strategy to expand its wearable security solutions. Upcoming improvements will introduce passkey support and standalone functionality, allowing users to manage security directly from their wearable devices without needing a smartphone.

Craig Lurey, CTO and Co-founder of Keeper Security, emphasized the company’s commitment to user-friendly security, stating, “People expect security to be effortless and integrated into their daily routines. With this update, we’re delivering a smarter and more intuitive way to manage credentials on WearOS – ensuring security remains seamless, effective, and uncompromising.”
