The JAZRO Cup 2025 has attracted over 1,100 students from 141 schools nationwide, backed by strong government and corporate sponsorship to bridge the STEM education gap between urban and rural areas. The national robotics competition will culminate in its Grand Finale on 15 August 2025 in Cyberjaya.
MALAYSIA, 11 AUGUST 2025 – The JAZRO Cup 2025, Malaysia’s premier school robotics competition organized by JAZRO Robotic Academy, is gaining nationwide momentum with unprecedented support from both public and private sectors.
Government agencies including Cyberview, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) through its MyDigitalMaker initiative, MRANTI, Petrosains, and PETRONAS Innovation Garage (PING) have partnered with corporate sponsors such as Muslim Pro, Yayasan Mr DIY, and Gobi Partners to expand access to robotics and STEM education across the country.
Endorsed by the Ministry of Education, the competition targets primary and secondary school students, fostering skills in robotics, coding, creativity, and innovation. Since launching in July, the event has attracted 1,138 students from 141 schools — 656 from urban areas and 482 from rural schools — underscoring its role in bridging Malaysia’s urban-rural education gap.
“We are thrilled by the support JAZRO Cup 2025 has received so far. The backing from both government and private sectors reflects a shared commitment to preparing young Malaysians for a tech-driven future,” said Ir. Dzulfarqeish Zainuddin, CEO of JAZRO Robotic Academy.
Muslim Pro’s Group Managing Director & CEO, Nafees Khundker, emphasized the importance of grassroots educational support: “Science and faith are not separate paths; they complement each other. Supporting platforms like JAZRO that open doors to STEM and robotics for young minds aligns deeply with our mission.”
Spanning six regions — Sabah, Sarawak, East Coast, Northern, Southern, and Central — the competition features coding and non-coding categories. The national-level Grand Finale is set for 15 August 2025 at Rekascape, Cyberjaya, where Malaysia’s brightest young innovators will compete for top honors.
