Sep 2, 2013 (Mon): As part of the efforts to promote the online protection of children worldwide under the Child Online Protection (COP) initiative, International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has established a partnership with the African Child Online Protection Education and Awareness Centre (ACOPEA) to ensure a safe and secure online experience for children and young people in Africa, mainly in Ethiopia. Facebook also supports the pilot financially.
