Jun 16, 2014 (Mon): According to a press release by the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost), 25 Postal Operators from America, Asia Pacific and Europe who attended the recent International Post Corporation Annual Conference on e-commerce believe that e-commerce could soon account for up to 75 percent of retail trade in the world.
Postmaster General Josefina Dela Cruz said in the conference that the current market in the Asia Pacific region especially the Philippines was identified as a good way to enter the e-commerce business and a key exporting market because of the increasing demand to buy goods online. Dela Cruz added that about 80 percent of the annual revenue generated by its international counterparts come from e-commerce.
