Terry KS Mar 20, 2014 (Thu): Bank Negara Malaysia Annual Report 2013 has revealed that there has been encouraging progress made in Interbank GIRO (IBG) transactions after the fee of IBG was reduced from RM2 to 10 sen in May last year.
From May to December 2013, the monthly growth rate of IBG was tripled to 6 percent or 10 million transactions compared to 2 percent or 6 million transactions in the preceding 8 months.
