Hong Kong prepares to roll out NFC payments

Banking & Payments Asia reported that the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is forming a working group, under the auspices of the Hong Kong Association of Banks, to create a set of standards and guidelines by the second half of 2013 for the introduction of NFC payments in Hong Kong. The initiative is to ensure the safety and effectiveness of NFC payments infrastructure.
