Hong Kong (July 8, 2013): Hang Seng Bank, one of the largest commercial banks in Hong Kong launched a new mobile payment service via near-field communication (NFC) technology. With the new launch mobile payment service,
Hang Seng Bank customers can use their NFC enabled phone to make payment via MasterCard PayPass terminals for purchases less than HK$500 (RM207) at about 1,000 outlets such as Pacific Coffee, Hung Fook Tong, Uniqlo and Maxim’s Cakes. Hang Seng Bank aims to increase the number of participating outlets to 2,500 by August this year.
