Jan 29, 2014 (Wed): Google Inc was reported that agreed to acquire DeepMind, a London-based cutting edge artificial intelligence company founded by Demis Hassabis, Shane Legg and Mustafa Suleyman in 2012. DeepMind is combining the best techniques from machine learning and systems neuroscience to build powerful general-purpose learning algorithms. Their first commercial applications are in simulations, e-commerce and games.
