Epson has launched the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN A4 document scanners in Malaysia, offering fast, flexible, and eco-conscious scanning solutions tailored for modern businesses. These new models are built to enhance digital workflows with advanced features, PC-less operation, and sustainable design.

MALAYSIA, 4 AUGUST 2025 – Epson, the leading document scanner brand in ASEAN, has officially launched its latest A4 document scanners—the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN—in Malaysia, aimed at driving business productivity through faster, smarter, and greener scanning solutions. These compact models will be available for purchase nationwide starting 1 August 2025.

Designed for the evolving needs of modern workplaces, both scanners offer fast scanning speeds of up to 30 pages per minute via the automatic document feeder (ADF), with flatbed scanning as quick as 7 seconds per page. The DS-1760WN also features PC-less operation through Epson’s ScanWay, enabling direct scanning to cloud storage, USB drives, emails, or network folders.

With a 60-sheet ADF and integrated flatbed, users can efficiently digitise a variety of documents, including delicate items, photos, ID cards, and booklets. Advanced scanning features include one-pass duplex scanning, document edge correction, punch hole removal, and text enhancement, delivering clean and high-quality digital files.

To optimise workflow further, both models come with image sensor glass dirt detection, automatic cropping of multiple items in a single scan, and the ability to merge flatbed and ADF scans into one file. These features significantly reduce re-scanning time and increase user efficiency.

Powered by Document Capture Pro, users can automate up to 30 custom scan jobs, convert documents into searchable PDFs or editable Word/Excel files using built-in optical character recognition (OCR), and route files directly to their preferred destinations. The scanners also support barcode recognition, MRZ scanning, and advanced job separation with flexible file naming.

The DS-1760WN goes a step further by offering ScanWay PC-less scanning, complete with a 2.4-inch touchscreen that enables direct operation without the need for a computer, supporting quick uploads to network locations and cloud services.

Epson also emphasises sustainability in the product’s design—up to 30% of the scanner’s main body is made from recycled plastic, offering an eco-conscious option for businesses without compromising performance or design.

The launch reinforces Epson’s position as the No.1 document scanner brand in ASEAN by unit shipments (IDC, 2H 2024), and reflects its ongoing commitment to innovation in digital document management.
