10 January 2024 – Seiko Epson Corporation proudly announces a groundbreaking achievement as of December 2023, becoming the pioneer in the Japanese manufacturing industry by fully transitioning all Epson Group sites worldwide to renewable electricity sources. This noteworthy milestone aligns with Epson’s commitment to carbon negativity and a resource-free future under its ambitious Environmental Vision 2050.

The company successfully completes the global shift to 100% renewable electricity, reducing annual carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 400,000 tonnes. Epson’s dedication to sustainability extends beyond sourcing renewable electricity to encompass broader initiatives, including energy efficiency in production processes and products, resource circulation advancements, and active support for new power source development through co-creation.
