MALAYSIA, 2 SEPTEMBER 2025 – Epson, a global leader in professional printing solutions, has launched its next-generation thermal point-of-sale (POS) printers, the TM-T82X-II and TM-T82IV, to support the evolving needs of retail and food & beverage industries. These sectors, which rely heavily on fast and reliable transaction processing, are expected to drive the POS printer market to nearly triple by 2033, fueled by rising e-commerce, mobile POS adoption, and global retail sales growth.

The TM-T82X-II serves as an affordable entry-level model tailored for small businesses, offering a 25% speed boost at 250 mm/sec, a 1.5-million-cut auto cutter, and a 100 km print head lifespan. Its compact, dust- and water-resistant design, dual interface connectivity, and paper-saving function of up to 30% make it both cost-efficient and environmentally friendly.

For higher-demand environments, the TM-T82IV delivers enhanced speed, durability, and versatile connectivity options, including dual or triple interfaces with serial, USB, and ethernet support, as well as optional Wi-Fi. The printer features a 2-million-cut auto cutter, robust water- and dust-resistant housing, and flexible placement options for seamless integration into various counter setups.

“Retail and F&B businesses demand more efficient operational flows, especially during peak periods with quick turnaround times,” said Morikawa Tomohito, Managing Director of Epson Malaysia. “Epson is dedicated to supporting these high-volume needs as we continue to upgrade our printers’ design and technology with higher efficiency and reduced maintenance.”

The Epson TM-T82X-II and TM-T82IV will be available in Malaysia starting August 2025 through Epson’s website and authorised dealers.
