22 February 2024 – In a landmark development, Epson has been officially named as the inaugural international corporate partner of Earth Hour, a renowned global environmental movement synonymous with its iconic “lights off” initiative. Earth Hour, initiated by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2007, has evolved into a monumental event rallying support worldwide for nature conservation and climate change awareness.

Scheduled for March 23, 2024, at 8:30 PM local time, Earth Hour 2024 holds significant promise as Epson aims to mobilize millions globally to engage in energy-saving actions through its partnership with the movement. With participation from over 190 countries and territories, Earth Hour has emerged as the largest grassroots environmental campaign, with its “Hour Bank” tallying over 410,000 hours pledged towards positive environmental endeavors in 2023 alone.

Epson’s collaboration with Earth Hour extends beyond mere sponsorship, as the two entities jointly advocate for widespread participation in energy-saving initiatives. Simple actions to conserve energy are readily accessible on both Epson and Earth Hour websites in over 26 languages, underscoring their commitment to fostering environmental consciousness globally.
