Elitery Malaysia, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and leading Malaysian universities, has launched the CendekiAwan Malaysia Program to equip 20,000 students with Cloud Computing and Generative AI skills, driving the nation’s MyDIGITAL Blueprint and future-ready workforce goals. The initiative runs from November 2025 to January 2026, culminating in a national AI competition.
MALAYSIA, 5 NOVEMBER 2025 – Elitery Global Technology Sdn. Bhd. (Elitery Malaysia), the Malaysian subsidiary of Indonesia’s leading managed service provider Elitery, has officially launched the CendekiAwan Malaysia Program in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and several top Malaysian universities. The initiative aims to nurture Malaysia’s next generation of digital talent through comprehensive training in Cloud Computing and Generative AI.
The program debuts with three charter universities — Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) — with up to eight more universities expected to join soon. Collectively, the program targets 20,000 students across as many as 11 institutions nationwide.
Open to students from all academic backgrounds, the CendekiAwan Malaysia Program integrates hands-on learning, mentorship, and innovation challenges to help participants gain practical digital skills. Two national-level competitions will be held: one spotlighting the Top 200 AI applications, and another honouring the Top 5 real-world impact projects.
Aligned with the MyDIGITAL Blueprint and the Ministry of Higher Education’s certification agenda, the initiative empowers participating universities with access to AWS Skill Builder courses, PartyRock (Amazon Bedrock playground), and AWS’s Future Builders certification program. The training model follows a cascading approach — AWS experts train Elitery professionals, who then lead Train-the-Trainer sessions for faculty members, enabling them to teach cloud and AI skills directly to students.
Universities will also benefit from AWS-led events, research collaborations, and enhanced visibility in Malaysia’s growing digital transformation landscape.
“Elitery has always believed that technology is meaningful only when it empowers people,” said Kresna Adiprawira, President Director of Elitery. “This collaboration marks an important milestone in our mission to support Malaysia’s vision of building a future-ready digital workforce through innovation and inclusivity.”
Emmanuel Pillai, Head of ASEAN Education & Training at AWS, added, “Exposing students to AI skills early is crucial for Malaysia’s competitiveness. AI literacy should be as fundamental as reading or mathematics, and through programs like PartyRock, we’re giving students the tools to experiment, innovate, and build confidence.”
Running from November 2025 to January 2026, the program will conclude with a national competition in February 2026, where students will present AI-driven projects developed through the initiative. By bridging academia, industry, and government, the CendekiAwan Malaysia Program represents a powerful step toward closing Malaysia’s digital skills gap and cultivating its next generation of digital leaders.
