Sept 27, 2013 (Fri): Ebay Inc. will acquire the Chicago-based payment company Braintree for about US$800 million to strengthen its PayPal unit’s presence on mobile devices through Braintree’s Venmo and remove a competitor, Reuters reported. According to the report, Braintree is expected can process about US$12 billion in 2013.
