The global e-commerce platform and payments company eBay Inc. has reported its revenue of the fourth quarter last year increased 18 per cent to US$4 billion (RM12.17 billion) while the full year revenue increased 21 per cent to US$14.1 billion (RM42.9 billion), compared to 2011.
According to eBay, the mobile commerce and payments was on the rise. Last year, eBay mobile reached US$13 billion (RM39.56 billion) which is more than double the prior year and PayPal mobile handled almost US$14 billion (RM42.6 billion) in volume which is more than triple the prior year. The company’s PayPal business continued to expand its leadership position in global payments and PayPal has registered approximately 123 million registered accounts with growth rate of 15 per cent last year.
