CzipLee Expands Bangsar Village II Store, Bringing New Experiences to Malaysia’s Creative Community

CzipLee, a cornerstone in Malaysia’s creative community, expands its flagship store in Bangsar Village II, doubling its space to foster creativity and community engagement with a blend of classic charm and modern design. This expansion features new collaborations, events, and workshops for all ages, underscoring CzipLee’s commitment to enhancing customer experiences.

7 November 2024 – CzipLee, Malaysia’s beloved 56-year-old stationery brand, celebrates a major milestone with the expansion of its Bangsar Village II store, now spanning over 9,500 square feet. Known for its dedication to quality and community, CzipLee has streamlined its operations by consolidating its outlets, closing CzipPlus by CzipLee in Bangsar and CzipLee Southkey in Johor, to focus on enhancing customer experience in Bangsar Village II.

“Our expanded store allows for a more enjoyable shopping experience and reflects our commitment to customer feedback,” explained Alvin Chen, Executive Director of CzipLee. The expansion showcases a dual aesthetic: one side retaining the classic, cozy charm of a neighborhood bookstore, and the new section featuring a playful, retro-inspired look with vibrant colors and modern decor.

This strategic expansion solidifies CzipLee’s goal of being a multi-generational attraction, with convenient mall access for families, including amenities like parking and lift access. “We aim to cater to everyone, from Generation Alphas to Baby Boomers,” added Alvin. CzipLee’s mission goes beyond retail, emphasizing creative exploration and supporting educational journeys through their three core values: commitment to quality, thoughtfully curated products, and community focus.

Celebrating 18 years in Bangsar, CzipLee’s latest store expansion introduces unique design features such as the medicinal shopfront-inspired payment counters that store pen refills, symbolizing “remedies” for the mind and spirit. The new space highlights CzipLee’s partnerships with international and local creators, bringing premium brands such as Clairefontaine, Lamy, and Rhodia, and the local bookstore Lit Books.

The expanded area also hosts creative events and pop-ups, providing a platform for community engagement. Among the events is Décopatch, a hands-on art activity for children and adults using vibrant, decorative papers to spark creativity.

In addition, CzipLee will host its first “CzipKid & Friends: Exploring Stories” workshop on November 9-10, featuring interactive storytelling sessions and workshops led by local children’s authors like Kimberley Boudville and Mellissa Saw. Designed for children aged 4-12, the event will offer engaging activities on important topics like bullying and emotional wellness. Tickets are available for single sessions starting at RM15 or RM120 per day.
