Japan’s Venture Capital firm CyberAgent Ventures (CA), Inc. announced they have invested in PT. Bilna through CA Asia Internet Fund, L.P. PT Bilna is an Indonesian startup which sells baby care and kids products online at www.bilna.com and was founded by Ferry Tenka and Eka Himawan on 23 July 2012. This investment is the second investment of CA in Indonesia after investment in Tokopedia, the leading Indonesia’s online shopping market place.
The recent rapid growth of e-commerce market and high demand of online shopping for babies and children related goods in Indonesia has made CA decided to invest in Indonesia’s e-commerce. Besides Indonesia, CA has expanded its investment across Japan, China, South East Asia as well as Korea.
