April 30, 2013: According to Malaysia Chronicle report, LivingSocial, one of largest daily deal sites was hit by a cyber-attack last Friday and resulted in unauthorized access to more than 50 million customers’ data, including names, email addresses, date of birth and “encrypted” passwords. The source said customers in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Southern Europe and Latin America were affected while customers in South Korea, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand are safe.
