MALAYSIA, 12 JULY 2025 – CTOS SME Biz Day 2025 wrapped up its Johor edition with resounding success, drawing more than 1,000 participants including SMEs, government agencies, investors, and industry leaders. Organised by CTOS for Business, the event reaffirmed CTOS’ commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s SME ecosystem by providing access to innovation, digital tools, and strategic networks.
This edition arrives at a pivotal time for Johor, which recorded RM27.4 billion in investments in Q1 2025, reinforcing its status as a key economic growth engine. Johor’s momentum—driven by infrastructure upgrades, strategic positioning, and sectoral diversity in areas like green tech and logistics—has created fertile ground for SMEs to thrive.
Themed around three key focus areas, the event provided practical guidance for businesses ready to transform.
The first theme, The Latest in e-Invoicing, focused on helping SMEs align with national digital tax initiatives. Sessions led by the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) and AutoCount offered clarity on compliance requirements, highlighting the urgency to embrace e-Invoicing before traditional receipts become obsolete. The adoption of smart digital tools was positioned as essential for simplifying business processes.
The second theme, JS-SEZ: What Businesses, Investors & Innovators Must Know, highlighted the strategic relevance of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone. With contributions from MATRADE, MDEC, and SME Corp. Malaysia, the session outlined opportunities for SMEs to scale through bilateral collaboration, export access, and capability building via available grants and support programmes.
The final theme, Transforming Business with AI, Social Media & Smart Tools, showcased success stories from companies like Anjoe Skincare, Feruni Ceramiche, Luckin Coffee Malaysia, Hextar Retail, and Poh Sin Studio. These businesses demonstrated the transformative power of AI, digital data, and social media in enhancing competitiveness, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.

Beyond the core sessions, participants were introduced to a wide range of digital and innovation enablers, with support from AWS, Mochi Technologies, POS Malaysia, Samsung, Setlary, Ford, Unifi Business, U Business, and Zoho. Topics included AI adoption, sustainability, digital integration, and financial wellness.
CTOS SME Biz Day will make its final stop in Kuching, Sarawak, on 19 August 2025 at the Imperial Hotel, Boulevard Mall. The event promises to connect East Malaysia’s business leaders with the tools and insights needed to scale.
