Terry KS CTOS SME Biz Day 2025 wrapped up in Kuching, uniting over 6,000 SME participants nationwide to accelerate digitalisation, innovation, and growth. The event reinforced Malaysia’s and Sarawak’s vision of SMEs as engines of economic transformation.
MALAYSIA, 20 AUGUST 2025 – CTOS SME Biz Day 2025 concluded its nationwide roadshow with a finale in Kuching, Sarawak, officiated by YB Datuk Wilson Ugak anak Kumbong, Deputy Minister of Digital. The event gathered entrepreneurs, corporates, government agencies, investors, collaborators, and solution providers to equip Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with the tools, knowledge, and networks to unlock their full business potential.
Spanning major economic hubs including Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, and now Kuching, CTOS SME Biz Day has evolved into a national platform driving SME digitalisation, transformation, and innovation. In Sarawak, the initiative complements the state’s digital economy agenda, leveraging its rapid economic expansion and growing export prospects.
The Kuching roadshow drew over 1,000 participants, bringing total nationwide attendance to over 6,000, a clear sign of SMEs’ readiness to embrace digital change.
YB Datuk Wilson Ugak anak Kumbong highlighted the critical role SMEs play in regional economic growth, stating, “To grow and take our place in the regional market, Sarawak must accelerate digitalisation. SMEs are the major business players in this journey. The road may not always be smooth, but with perseverance, innovation, and collaboration, remarkable success awaits.”
The event also welcomed key government agencies including AKPK, MATRADE, SDEC, and SME Corp. Malaysia, all aligned with the Ministry of Digital and MDEC’s Business Digitisation Initiative (BDI) to strengthen SMEs with funding, technical expertise, and capacity-building programs.
