CTOS SME Biz Day 2025 Debuts in Sarawak to Accelerate SME Digitalisation and Growth

CTOS SME Biz Day 2025 is launching in Kuching to empower Sarawak’s SMEs with practical tools, expert insights, and access to government support. The event aligns with the state’s digital economy vision, helping businesses build resilience and scale effectively.

MALAYSIA, 4 AUGUST 2025 – CTOS SME Biz Day 2025 is making its first-ever stop in East Malaysia, with an event scheduled for 19 August 2025 at Imperial Hotel Kuching. The initiative is designed to empower Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to unlock growth, overcome operational challenges, and future-proof their businesses in today’s competitive environment.

The event comes at a pivotal moment for Sarawak, which is fast emerging as a major contributor to Malaysia’s economic growth. Under the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint 2030, the state is targeting 80% digitalisation among SMEs and micro-enterprises, with business activities projected to contribute RM56.4 billion to GDP by the end of the decade. With over 74,000 SMEs already in operation and nearly 40% undergoing digital transformation, CTOS SME Biz Day 2025 offers a timely opportunity for Sarawak businesses to accelerate their progress.

CTOS SME Biz Day will address key SME challenges such as limited financing access, digital skill gaps, and complex regulations. Through strategic panel discussions, business development workshops, and direct access to grant providers, attendees will be guided on how to adopt innovative solutions and expand their business capabilities.

Representatives from key agencies, including Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK), Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC), and SME Corp. Malaysia, will provide actionable insights into available government assistance and market expansion strategies.

Corporate partners such as AutoCount, Pos Malaysia, Unifi Business, Microsoft (TecD), MDEC, Setlary, and Mochi will introduce digital-first business tools aimed at helping SMEs shift from conventional to modern, scalable models. These solutions are designed to streamline operations, improve productivity, and build long-term resilience.

The event will also feature three targeted panel discussions:

  • A deep dive into the upcoming e-invoicing mandate, including what SMEs must prepare and how to ensure compliance.
  • Real-life entrepreneurial journeys from the founders of Luckin Coffee Malaysia, Anjoe Skincare, Poh Sin Studio, and Malaysia SME Media Group, sharing lessons from their business growth experiences.
  • Expert sessions on export readiness, digital transformation strategies, ESG implementation, AI adoption, and employee financial wellness programs.

CTOS SME Biz Day in Kuching is positioned as a key platform to connect with top ecosystem players, spark new collaborations, and gain insights from policymakers and digital experts. It is expected to draw a strong turnout from local SMEs eager to explore the next stage of business evolution.

Since its inception, CTOS SME Biz Day has supported over 5,000 SMEs across Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Johor, and is now expanding its impact to East Malaysia. More regional events are planned to further CTOS’s mission of strengthening the national SME landscape through practical tools, education, and strategic networks.
