The Myanmar bank with the largest ATM network in the country, Co-Operative Bank Limited had received the license from MasterCard Inc. and will become the first financial institution in Myanmar to issue MasterCard cards in the country.
In a few months’ time, this plastic payment card can be accepted by Co-Operative Bank ATMs and by some retailers in the country. Myanmar is a cash-dominated country and the ATM network is just new to the people in the country.
