CNNIC: Chinese prefers to access internet via mobile

BEIJING: The China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), in a statement announced that the internet users in China have reached 564 million by December 2012 and most of the users found accessing internet via mobile internet devices. The center reported that the mobile internet users grew 18.1 per cent last year to 420 million users.

Online shopping including group buying is becoming more popular in China. The center reported that there were 242 million online shoppers in 2012 with the annual growth rate of 24.8 per cent. Meanwhile, group buying users rose 28.8 per cent to 83,270,000 last year.
