JAKARTA: Indonesia’s mobile operator Axis has launched ‘Beli Pake Pulsa’ service, allowing its customers to use their prepaid airtime credit to buy digital content such as e-books and online games directly from their mobile phones, tablets and computers. With ‘Beli Pake Pulsa’, customers can buy their favourite digital contents in seconds conveniently – without having to visit an ATM to make a bank transfer and securely – without sharing their sensitive credit card information online.
Axis expected to have more merchants to accept ‘Beli Pake Pulsa’ payment option soon. Currently, e-bookseller Papataka, digital comic book site Ngomik.com and game publishers Asiasoft and Capple are the well-known merchants accepting this new payment option offered by Axis.
