The 2nd edition of the Asia Photonics Expo (APE) 2025 officially opens at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, bringing together over 5,000 industry professionals and 344 exhibitors from 16 countries. SINGAPORE, 26 February 2025 – The Asia Photonics Expo (APE) 2025 officially opened today at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, cementing its status as the leading platform for photonics innovation in the region. Running from 26 to 28 February, the event welcomes more than 5,000 industry professionals and features 344 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions, including Singapore, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, and China.
With a dedicated exhibition space of 15,000 square meters, APE 2025 introduces specialized technology zones for Quantum, Intelligent Sensors, and Vacuum Coating, highlighting breakthroughs in optical communications, optics, lasers, sensing, and display technologies. The event serves as a crucial hub for manufacturers, researchers, and buyers to discover cutting-edge solutions and forge global supply chain connections across industries such as semiconductors, automotive, MedTech, automation, and consumer electronics.
Driving Business and Innovation in Photonics
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Sukumar Verma, Managing Director at Informa Markets in Singapore, emphasized the significance of APE as a business-to-business (B2B) marketplace: “Following a successful launch in 2024, APE 2025 is poised to expand industry opportunities by connecting exhibitors from new markets and fostering cross-sector partnerships. Adding a global perspective, Mr. Carlos Lee, Director General of the European Photonics Industry Consortium, shared insights on Europe’s photonics industry and its potential for collaboration with Asia. “APE plays a meaningful role in helping European companies establish valuable connections and gain insights into the Asian photonics market,” he stated.
