U.S. (July 20, 2013): Apple Inc on Friday has been confirmed its acquisition of online mapping services HopStop and Locationary to improve its maps that embedded in iOS but the terms of acquisition weren’t disclosed, the New Straits Times says in a report.
HopStop provides directions to major transit systems and biking routes, popular features on Google’s maps while Locationary collects and analyzes data to help create more precise maps.
