The e-commerce giant Amazon has announced that the company will build a new one million square foot fulfilment center in New Jersey, US and expected to create hundreds of full-time jobs there. The center acts as a distribution center where Amazon employees will pick, pack and ship smaller items to customers — anything from books to DVDs.
KTR Capital Partners, a private equity firm, is building the project with Amazon planning to take occupancy in early 2014. The expected investment in the project will exceed US$200 million (RM609 million).
